What You Should Know About Stress (and how to manage it well)
Welcome to the one-hundredth and seventieth episode, where we discuss what you should know about stress and how to manage it well.
My name is Brianna Wilkerson from Made Well, and I’m the Founder / CEO of Made Well – a practice designed to see women be healthy and thrive in all areas of their lives.
I am a holistic health and life coach who helps women find peace with food, feel confident in their bodies again, and develop a healthy lifestyle that’s more than about what they weigh.
I also am an Essential Oils Advocate and love empowering women to use non-toxic solutions like essential oils for their health, homes, and families.
It is my absolute delight and pleasure to bring you this podcast and share with you all my heart and soul around truly being healthy and thriving in all areas of your life!
In this week’s episode of the @morethanyourweightpodcast, I’m joined by Jamie Blackburn to chat all about everything you need to know about stress and how to manage it well!
Jamie Blackburn has worn many hats in her life: oyster shucker, science teacher, outdoor educator, school counselor, and ice cream scooper. But the job she loves most is what she does now… helping overwhelmed women find time for self care so they prevent burnout and don’t miss out on life’s greatest adventures.
Jamie offers workshops, wellness programs, and retreats through her business, the Inner MAP Project, which is based on the belief that Mindfulness, physical Activity, and mental Presence (MAP) can keep us connected to our true nature. Jamie holds Master’s degrees in both Curriculum & Instruction and Counseling that she used while working in the public schools for 14 years. She is a 500-hour certified yoga teacher, and has been teaching yoga since 2007.
In this episode, you will learn about:
- Jamie’s personal experience with stress, anxiety at work, a miscarriage and journey in caring for herself
- What happens to our bodies when we are constantly stress and overwhelmed
- Three practical steps to help you manage your stress (instead of letting it manage you!)
- How to get connected with Jami
- Details on how you can create a healthy habit around stress and so much more this summer when you join my Food and Body Reset happening next week!
