Understanding the Psychology Driving Your Eating Habits
Welcome to the one-hundred and seventy-first episode, where we discuss understanding the psychology driving your eating habits.
My name is Brianna Wilkerson from Made Well, and I’m the Founder / CEO of Made Well – a practice designed to see women be healthy and thrive in all areas of their lives.
I am a holistic health and life coach who helps women find peace with food, feel confident in their bodies again, and develop a healthy lifestyle that’s more than about what they weigh.
I also am an Essential Oils Advocate and love empowering women to use non-toxic solutions like essential oils for their health, homes, and families.
It is my absolute delight and pleasure to bring you this podcast and share with you all my heart and soul around truly being healthy and thriving in all areas of your life!
In this week’s episode of the @morethanyourweightpodcast, I’m joined by Maria Macsay to chat all about eating psychology and its impact on your eating habits!
Maria grew up as a vibrant and health conscious gymnast and dancer. Under intense mental and emotional stress in College, her body began to reject her and she developed Ulcerative Colitis almost overnight. As she struggled with her chronic digestive issue for years she ended up developing body dysmorphia and disordered eating.
After years of struggling, Maria healed herself naturally and transformed her life through yoga, emotional healing, and eating psychology principles.
As a Certified Mind-Body Connection Coach, Maria helps other women heal their self-sabotaging habits and health challenges so that they too can live an aligned and vibrant life!
In this episode, you will learn about:
- Maria’s story in coping with emotions through overeating, restrictive eating, and overexercising
- How she struggled with body dysmorphia and how she overcame it
- Three eating psychology principles that drive our habits around eating
- Three practical tips to understand your thoughts and patterns around eating and be more present with your food
- How to stay in touch with Maria
- Details on my More Than Your Weight 6 Week Bootcamp that opens for registration June 10th

A little switch up to tonight’s oils class! Instead of hormones, we will be focusing on Essential Oils for the Summer 🙂
Join me 8pm EST on Zoom to learn about how oils can support you this summer! https://zoom.us/s/93251633644
P.S. The hormones + women’s health class will be rescheduled until July 6th, as I will be focusing on hormones that whole month from a coaching + oils point of view, so wanted to have all the content aligned!
